How to Become an Expert in FOREX Market

Step-by-Step Practical Guide

Step One: Choose Your Mentor

If you think carefully about Forex Market, you'll come to the realization that Forex Market is something which is in your head, only. It is your perception for the market and that perception is going to change as you grow trough the process of learning it.

The question here is: How to control something, which is in your head and you have no control of? No matter what you do, the first thing you have to put under control is: manage the mind. The problem #1 in our life is using the mind properly.

What is that has to do with the Forex Market? As you know, already, this is something which exists in your head and you have to use your mental power on its full capacity. No success can be achieved in whatever you do if you cannot control the mind. If you loose your concentration you can loose the money invested there.

How can you prepare yourself for Forex? - Follow the path of the successful players. Choose Your Mentor. Do not try to reinvent the wheel.

How to find Your Mentor? - Do your FOREX research. It is very easy. Use Internet to get very good free content on that topic. Subscribe to several free e-courses. The number of e-courses can run from 3 to 11. Visit as much websites as you can feel comfortable to handle, without being overload.

Read the information carefully and try to soak the new terminology. Do not force your self. If you are really passionate about the Forex you'll find how quickly and easy the information will be learned. Dedicate between 2 to 4 weeks to accomplish this process.

There are many websites offering free ebooks and reports on FOREX. Download as much as you want and study those materials. They usually contain a lot of valuable information. Some of them are even better then the highly overpriced ebooks, seminars and training packages.

Once you follow the above carefully, start to eliminate those sources you do not like. Raise the bar and leave just 2-3 sources of the information you are going to follow. Keep on learning from what they offer for about 2-4 weeks.

When you feel you are ready, make your decision and pick ONE source, only. Choose your Mentor. Now you can buy what is offered by your Mentor. Start serious work study process on the materials. Open DEMO account and test what you learn with fake money.

As you acquire more and more knowledge, you'll need to open another DEMO accounts. Apply the lessons immediately on the market and watch carefully for the results. At this time, your loosing trades are your best gifts. Allow yourself to loose a lot and learn as much as possible from those "bad" trades. Do not skip any lesson the market deliver to you for free.

Remember - your losing trades are going to giver you the knowledge you'll need in order to be successful in the Forex market.

Look for Step Two: Do Your Homework First.

Trading the FOREX Market. A step in the right direction.

I want to share a little knowledge with you starting out in trading. What you should be looking for and why it is better to trade the FOREX market than other markets. The FOREX market is better to trade than the stocks, futures or options because unlike the other, currency trading does not take place on a regulated exchange and this makes it the worlds largest market. This makes it the most liquid market. With 1.9 trillion dollar exchange a day, it is possible to buy or sell at any time. With it huge size it is not possible for anybody to manipulate the market in their favor.

The first thing you need to know a little about is the glossary terms in the FOREX market so that when you read an article or a web page that you know what people is taking about, lets start off with the most common used word "pip". It is the difference when the market price moves up one point or down one point. The next thing you need to know about is "spread". This is difference in price from the time at which it can be sold or bought depending on how the market moves. Brokers does not charge a fee on the FOREX market and this difference in the "spread" is how they make commission. There are still a lot of other terms which you will not understand immediately, but these can always be looked up in your specified broker's glossary of terms.

There are two different ways of analyzing the market. The first is called Fundamental Analysis. This is a very complex way of analyzing the market and is mostly only used to plan and predict long-term trends. There is a wide range of indicators that can be used while doing fundamental analysis. Some of these are: · Non-farm Payrolls · Durable goods · Consumer Price Index The next way of analysis is Technical Analysis. This is the most widely used way of analyzing the market. It is a more practical way of analysis, and as the FOREX market is open 24 hours a day only a few factors (like adjusting trend lines, etc.) of this type of analysis needs to be modified to be successfully used. A few examples of common forms of this type of analyzing follows: · Fibonacci · Parabolic SAR · Pivot points

To conclude, if you want to be a successful trader, it is wise to build yourself a good Technical Analyzing strategy. Combining pivotal points, trend lines and other technical analyzing methods, to integrate into your strategy of trading the market. After you successfully worked out your strategy to capturing pips, you must use this strategy in trading on a demo account before attempting to trade a live account. I hope that this piece can help you at least one step in the right direction. With the warmest regards, Dirk Kotze

Veteran Trader Finds Successful Forex Trading Strategies and Techniques

Forex trading strategies and techniques along with the market are unique. It doesn`t sleep, so there are no opening or closing gaps. Forex trading strategies are highly liquid, and difficult to influence. There are no commissions and few, if any, regulations. It`s the largest market out there, and it`s more than a little intimidating. However, with a good trading system, a disciplined approach, and a willingness to learn, the forex market can become a very lucrative place to trade. Here are a few pointers to get you started in the right direction.

I recommend that traders with small accounts ($25,000 and under), always trade with the trend. Good Forex trading strategies for beginners to use is to look for trades that flow in any direction, which can be somewhat unreliable. While forex trading easily permits bi-directional trades, trading in the direction of the trend will improve your odds over the long run.

One of many other excellent Forex trading strategies to use this way to improve your odds is to have at least two accounts, including at least one real account and one demo account. You don`t stop learning when you start trading real dollars. Use your demo account to test any alternative trades you might be considering. For example, you can shadow your real trades with identical ones in your demo account, but you can widen your stops in the demo to see if you're being too conservative.

If you have the right amount of money, try Forex trading strategies that allow trading two lots rather than one. Or even three lots. This is safer than only trading one. When everything is riding on one trade, it`s hard to make good decisions. Having a few positions going is a good way to take the intensity out of a trade. Conversely, you may also want to consider extreme trading, which can be the most conservative trading, when you think about it. Trading at the extremes increases the odds that you have chosen the right direction.

No Forex trading strategies would be good if you did not take the time to examine the daily charts, the four-hour charts and one-hour charts. These exist to help you time your trades. When you are trading at 30- and 15-minute time increments, it can take a great deal of dexterity, and it`s good to have this knowledge at your fingertips.

Some other Forex trading strategies means that you don't trade the time frame that is offered. Trade the pattern instead. Reversal patterns, hesitation patterns and breakout patterns show up a lot. Learn to look for these patterns in any time frame. While the patterns are always there if you look for them, leading indicators aren`t there. Don`t spend all your time looking for them, there simply aren`t any. Some firms make a lot of money selling software that predicts the future, but the reality is that if those products really worked, they wouldn't be telling you about it. Also, try and follow the Upside Down Rule. If you can turn a chart upside down and it still looks the same, avoid it all together.

You should fully check the Big Five: the dollar/yen, euro/dollar, Swiss franc/dollar, euro/yen and pound/dollar before you decide to take a position in any one of them. There might be something obvious that you`ve missed. Finally, this is the best out of all the Forex trading strategies I know. Don't keep count of your profits in your first 20 trades. Keep track of the percentage of wins instead. Once you know you can pick directions, your profits can be increased with multi-plot trading and by using variations in your stops. Then, you`ll be ready to fine-tune your system, and start realizing substantial profits.

Forex Course: A Quick Forex Guide for Traders

In this Forex course we will review some steps you need to take care before you venture into your trading journey. Most traders venture into the Forex market with little or no experience in the Forex market. This results in painful experiences like loosing most of the risk capital, frustration because it seemed so easy to make money, etc.

The first thing you need to realize is that, it is not easy to make money. As every other endeavor in life, where important rewards are to come after mastering it, you need to work hard. You need to get very well educated and experienced before having the possibility to receive important rewards on it. The key on mastering the Forex market relies on commitment, patience and discipline.

Ok, you have decided you are going to trade the Forex market, you have seen several advertisings featuring how easy is to make money in the Forex market. You might think this is your opportunity to reach your financial freedom, right away, time is money, why waiting any longer if you have the opportunity to make money now. I know, I've been there, but you have a chance now, I didn't, no body told me what I am going to tell you.

We, Forex traders, make transactions based on a set of rules. These sets of rules are what we call a Trading System. Our systems tell us the exact time where we need to get in the market and out the market in order to make a profit (i.e. buy low sell high.)

Creating a system is the first big step you need to take care first. Why is this so important? Because you need to build a system that suits your personality, otherwise you are going to find hard to follow it, thus hard to profit from. A system can be based on technical indicators or what we called a mechanical system or based on experience and intuition or what we call discretionary systems. I highly recommend using and trying first a mechanical system, because discretionary systems are dangerous during the early stages of a Forex trader (can lead to indiscipline.) With experience, on later stages, you will find out which signals work better and which ones to avoid.

The next step in this Forex course is to try your system on a demo account. Most Forex brokers offer a demo account, an account with virtual money. This is an excellent choice to test your trading system as there is no money at risk. In this step you will figure out if the strategy works for you. If you feel comfortable trading it, then it is most likely to produce good results. How much time should you stay in this step? It varies, but you shouldn't go one step further until your system gets consistent profitable results over a period of time. It can take many months, but remember, you need to be patient.

You must be honest to yourself; you need to take every single signal generated by your system, not only the signals you thought were going to work, otherwise, you are going to have problems in the next two steps.

Ok, by know you had consistent profitable results on your demo account. You might think its time to go full. Nope, nope, nope. There is a big difference between trading a demo and a real account. The most important difference lies on emotions (fear, greed, anger, etc.) These are psychological barriers that affect every single decision made by traders regardless of what he/she is trading (stocks, bonds, Forex, futures, grains, etc.) These emotional factors, in my opinion, are the most determinant factor that separates profitable traders from the others.

The next step in this Forex course is specially designed to deal with emotions and to confirm the results obtained in the prior step (consistent results in a demo account.) At this step you need to trade in a real account with limited funds. Some brokers offer fractional lot trading. Meaning you are able to trade any desired amount (even cents.) The important thing here is that these emotions we've been talking about are present only when there is real money at risk. At this stage, you are going to see if you are really comfortable trading your system and if you are able to trade with such system, remember different systems produce different emotions. If you are able to produce similar results than those obtained in a demo account, then ready for the next step. If you didn't, then you might need to create another system, there is chance your system never fit you. If you created consistent profitable results on this stage, you have a chance to produce similar results in the next one, on the other hand, if you didn't produce good results in this stage, you will not be able to make on the next stage. Remember, you need to do things right, and be honest to yourself.

The last stage is trading in a real account with sufficient funds. If you are at this stage, and have passed successfully every prior stage, then you have a chance to make it, go ahead and try it, you need to be confident in yourself and in your system, your strategy have already produced consistent profitable results, there are reasons to believe you are going to make it. Very few traders fail at this stage (if passed successfully prior stages.)

Trading successfully is no easy task, it requires a lot of work, patience, discipline, and education. By completing the steps outlined in this Forex course, you have a chance to produce profitable results. I repeat it again, you need to be honest to yourself about the results obtained in every stage. Some times you might need expert guidance regarding your system development strategies.

Trading Forex To Advance Your Financial Position

Everyday, currencies are traded in an international foreign exchange market, otherwise known as the forex market, with the main marketplaces (otherwise known as bourses) existing in the world?s financial centes New York, London, Tokyo, Frankfurt and Zurich. Historically, the only way to participate was from the trading floor of one of these bourses, but today, people can trade forex from anywhere through a secure internet connection and a PC.

Today?s traders operate in a global network, taking positions in the market and making investment decisions based on either relative value between two currencies, or a particular currency?s actual price. Currency value fluctuations are constantly renegotiated through trading activity, and this activity, and the corresponding currency values are also indicators of the levels of currency supply. Forex traders have the aim of using the smallest amount of one currency, say the US dollar, to purchase another currency like the British Pound. If supply of the pound lessens in a busy market, it will cost more dollars to buy pounds, and the forex trader hopes to sell their pounds at a higher than their purchase price.

An example of market behaviour greater demand for the Euro might indicate a weakening supply. Low supply and increased demand will drive the price of the Euro up against other currencies like the dollar, until the price better reflects what traders are prepared to pay when short supply exists. Another way to look at this situation is this higher demand means it will cost more dollars to buy the Euro, which equates to a weakening of the dollar in comparison. Analysis of situations such as in this example forms the basis for a trader?s investment decisions, and they will purchase or sell currency accordingly.

This should be remembered, as while many see the foreign exchange market as the vehicle for converting their home currency while travelling abroad, many others choose to use the market to advance their financial position and secure their future.Jay Moncliff is the founder of http://www.goforexonline.info a website specialized on Forex Online, resources and articles. Trading Currency Through Online Forex Brokers

Access to foreign exchange (forex), the most extensive market on the planet, is generally through an intermediary known as a forex broker. Similar to a stock broker, these agents can also provide advice on forex trading strategies. This advice to clients often extends to technical analysis and research approaches designed to improve client forex trading performance.

Financial institutions are generally the most influential in the forex market through high-volume, large-value forex currency transactions. Historically, banks enjoyed monopolistic access to the forex markets, but through the Internet, any forex speculator can also enjoy 24 hour access to the market via a forex broker.

Secure web connections today allow many forex traders to work from home, where ready access to news and other technical advice informs decisions on what forex positions to take. Similar moves are being made by stock brokers, who are also moving out of banks and other traditional institutions.

Your needs in the market will influence your choice of forex broker. Online forex brokerage firms, known as houses, provide those new to the forex market with detailed research, advice and simulators to learn how to use their forex trading tools. The experienced online forex trader is catered to by other broking houses, with in-depth advice, but less focus on forex trading instruction based on the assumption that you are familiar with the forex market. To make an informed choice, it is advisable to trial several differing online forex broking houses and their trading tools to find the best fit for your needs.Jay Moncliff is the founder of http://www.forex-web.info a website specialized on Forex Broker, resources and articles. Investing in FOREX or investing in Stocks? Understand the benefits and risks of each Market

So, you have the money to invest, but you dont know whether to buy Stocks or try something new, like FOREX for example.

Stocks

Before we describe what are the benefits of FOREX, lets remember what are Stocks. Stocks have been a popular investment for hundreds of years. Companies issue stocks to raise capital for expansion and new projects, and each share of the stock represents a partial ownership in the company. Basically speaking, when you buy stocks you invest in the company and in the market it is working in.

Hence, when the company does well and makes a profit, the value of the stocks rise and you can sell your shares for a profit or hold on to the stock for even more gain in the future. Sometimes companies will issue dividends part of the profits that are distributed to share holders, another way for you to make a profit.

Stocks are traded on Stock exchanges. Most stocks are bought and sold through brokers (agents) who charge a commission or fee for this service. American stock exchanges include the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) and the National Association of Securities Dealers Automated Quotation System (NASDAQ). Most stocks are only listed on one exchange, although large companies may have listings on several exchanges.

Stocks were traditionally seen as long-term investments. So-called 'blue chip' stocks - those having proven value over many years - may form the backbone of an investment portfolio. Short-term traders (Day traders) exist, but it is a relatively new phenomenon made possible with the advent of Internet trading. Day traders attempt to take advantage of large daily fluctuations in the market by buying and selling many times in one trading period. It is relatively risky and broker commissions charged on each transaction reduce any profits realized.

Stocks may sometimes be bought on Margin, meaning that the investor borrows money to buy the stocks. Margin rates are usually around 50% - the investor can borrow as much as half the value of the stock.

FOREX

The Foreign Exchange Market (FOREX) is quite different from the stock exchange. In contrast to the stock exchange, the FOREX is primarily a short-term market. Most traders enter and exit deals within a 24-hour period sometimes within a few minutes. Many FOREX trades can be made in one day without building up a large brokerage fee because FOREX trades are commission free; hence, you keep all of your profit. Brokers earn money by setting a spread the difference between asking and selling prices.

FOREX is the largest financial market in the world. It is handles transactions worth $1.5 trillion every day ($1,500,000,000,000). By comparison, all the American stock exchanges combined handle daily transactions worth about $100 billion ($100,000,000,000), 15 times smaller than FOREX. It is not located in any one location, but in the virtual space of the Internet. Trading markets are located world-wide and because of difference in time-zones trades can be made 24 hours a day, 5 days a week. Trading begins in Sydney, Australia on Monday morning (Sunday afternoon New York time) and continues non-stop until Friday afternoon New York time.

The huge volume of FOREX and its around the clock availability, means that it is one of the most liquid markets in the world. There is always a buyer and seller for any type of currency because the world economy relies on the movement of goods from country to country. Stock exchanges have more limited trading hours. While it is possible to trade on exchanges worldwide, each exchange is independent and operates for just 7 hours a day. There is no way to buy or sell a certain stock that is only traded on one stock exchange when that exchange is closed.

FOREX has even more advantages compares to Stocks: It is more predictable than stocks, it follows well established trends, it allows high leverage typically 100:1 instead of 2:1 on the stock market; and it doesn't require a large investment mini accounts as small as $250 can get you started in FOREX.

The big question is what is Best for you? Are you looking for a Day-Trading constant activity, with its advantages, or a long-term investment. Know the answer and you know the nature of your next investment.

The Basics of Forex

Foreign exchange market is also known as Forex or FX market. To date, it is the worlds biggest economic bazaar. FX produces an average of over $1 trillion daily earnings. That is 30 times more than combining all the volumes of Americas equity markets. This currency market is where currencies are bought and sold.

Why Forex?
These currencies are traded in pairs, i.e., Euro and Yen, US Dollar and Euro. Many people have many reasons why they opt to trade currencies. The daily profit of 5% received from governments and businesses that trade services and/or products in a different country or should change turnovers made in foreign money into their local money. The bulk of the profit, about 95%, goes to exchanging for revenues or assumption. This market is not easily influenced by any external factor. It is also famous for its liquidity. Money freely flows from this market since millions of dollars can get in and out of it each day. It is also considered liquid due to the fact that traders can just open and close positions in a wink of an eye. This could be attributed to Forex being one of the most coveted market.

Who Can Forex?
Forex participants can vary a lot. From long term investors to large credit line users, Forex is very marketable. But its constant minimal daily rise and fall magnetizes investors with various trading techniques. This makes Forex consistently exist as a very interesting currency market.

Tools of the Trade
Anyone can go with this Forex flow 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. Yes, this currency market is that possible. Basically one essential tool in doing this business is having a PC and an Internet access.

Globally, Forex happens via telecommunications. Trade is open starting Sunday afternoon to Friday afternoon. The investor would choose what currency to purchase through a wide selection of dealers. Some of these dealers could be found online. If an investor has limited capital, say $500, he can speculate on the prices of currency through acquiring a credit line. This is a common trading practice called marginal trading. It is pursued to increase the possible gains and losses one investor can incur.

Marginal Trading can be one attractive option since it actually means one can work out Forex immediately without shelling out money directly from ones pocket. This decreases the cost of money transfer. Bigger transactions can be carried out more easily and quickly with this kind of method. Lots is the unit used in this exchange market. It refers to almost $100,000 that can be earned with an initial capital of $500. What can you say?

Forex Tricks
Two kinds of analysis strategies are commended to succeed in your Forex endeavor. Technical analysis is one of the fundamental techniques that are favored by small to medium sized trade players. The activity of the price chain is sad to predict the market and currency fluctuations. The price chain the major aspect of Forex that needs ample consideration in this technique. To master this strategy, an investor needs to learn how to make the most out of the knowledge of the lowest and highest prices of a currency, opening and closing prices, and the transaction size.

Fundamental analysis relies on the country currencys present situation. Its political dealings, economy and other hearsays that might influence the currency must all be taken into consideration. The predictions must be also based on the Forex players expectations.

Like any investment, Forex is likened to gambling. One needs to know how to play his cards before jumping into this kind of business. E-books and other online sources are the most accessible form of educating oneself on this turf. Be armed with knowledge!
